Game Details
Deal or No Deal casino game show is very similar to the American TV show aired in 2005. Its popularity spread to other countries. Today, you can play Deal or No Deal online anytime, along with other players from around the world. It follows the original game show structure very closely. So players need to qualify first to play the game.
The American TV show displayed 26 boxes, each with a different prize ranging from €0.01 to a million dollars or more. The Deal or No Deal casino game show has 16 briefcases, each having different multipliers. The winning amount from a briefcase depends on the player’s bet and the game level selected. The maximum win is 500x your bet.
This game show has a live dealer and an assistant to open the briefcases. In the background is the Banker, with a landline phone on the dealer’s table.

Deal or No Deal Game Rounds
Deal or No Deal game has three game rounds – the qualification round, the top-up round, and the main game round.
Qualification Round
The Qualification round needs players to unlock three golden segments within the set region on the three-reel vault. Players can use one of the three available modes to spin the wheel and qualify for the game. These three modes are:
- Normal Mode: Here, you place a regular bet and try your luck unlocking all three golden segments.
- Easy Mode: This is easier than the normal mode as it unlocks one of the golden segments on paying 3 times the bet amount.
- Very Easy Mode: Here, two golden segments are unlocked when you stake 9 times the bet amount.
You may come across a fourth mode when playing the First Person Deal or No Deal casino game version. This mode is called Instant and allows players to wager 18x the bet amount to unlock all three golden segments.
Whatever amount players wager in the qualification round is added to all the briefcases. Each briefcase’s bet amount and multiplier decide the actual amount you can win from the 16 briefcases. The briefcase with the highest number has the highest multiplier.
Top Up Round
The top-up round is optional. Players can increase the prize money in selected briefcases by placing a bet. For this, you must first select the briefcase one at a time and place your bet before spinning the wheel. Depending on which amount/multiplier the wheel lands on, that increased amount gets added to the selected briefcase.
A player can top up the prize money in many briefcases within a set time, usually 10 seconds. You will find the timer in the middle of the spinner wheel—the multipliers in this round range between 5x to 50x.
The blue briefcase boxes on the left of the game screen have smaller multipliers, while the red briefcase boxes have higher multipliers.
The Main Game Round
The Main Game round is the final Deal or No Deal game round. Briefcases are opened in this round, and their numbers are revealed. These briefcases are then removed from the game list. The Banker makes an offer that a player can accept or reject. If the player selects Deal, they accept the offer and leave the game; if they accept No Deal, they wish to continue the game.
How to Play Evolution’s Deal or No Deal Live?
After you place a bet and cross the qualification and top-up rounds, the 16 briefcases are gradually opened in the main round.
- First, 3 briefcases are opened, revealing their numbers. You lose any bet placed in those briefcases as they get removed from the game once opened. The Banker makes an offer that you either accept or reject.
- Next, 4 briefcases are opened, followed by another 4. You can accept the Banker’s offer during this period by clicking Deal or reject by clicking No Deal. The Banker’s offer doesn’t necessarily appreciate or depreciate depending on the number of briefcases opened. If more blue briefcases are opened, the red briefcases with higher multipliers can get you higher prize money.
- If you proceed to play, 3 briefcases are opened next. Again, you can opt to click Deal or No Deal.
- If you play till there are only 2 briefcases left, you will find one behind the dealer and one on the table in front of the dealer. At this stage, you can Switch the briefcases so that the one behind the dealer replaces the briefcase on the table. After the dealer opens the briefcase on the table, you win the amount based on the briefcase multiplier and the bet amount placed in it. This isn’t always a win-win situation, as you can get poor returns compared to the Banker’s offer if the winning box has a smaller multiplier.
- After a game ends, players must qualify again to participate in the next Deal or No Deal game.
First Person Deal or No Deal Game Online
Deal or No Deal is also available in an online casino variant. This is a First Person version since it’s just you and the game software. It’s similar to the live Deal or No Deal game in many ways, with a few exceptions.
- One player can only play this game version at a time.
- Players have to qualify for the round. Here also, there’s a fourth mode called the Instant mode, as explained earlier.
- In the top-up round, there is no time restriction. You can increase the prize money in the selected briefcases at your pace.
- There is no live dealer in this game. You will find the Banker in the background whose offers will show on your screen.
- When playing the main game round, you can play this game using two different types of speed modes – normal and fast. The normal mode opens the briefcases slowly as compared to the fast mode.
- The briefcases open automatically after you select the first briefcase, which would be the winning briefcase if you wait till the end. This first briefcase will move and settle on the table closer to the screen.
Review Summary
The Deal or No Deal casino game depends on luck though it requires a significant level of decision-making skill. The game’s Return To Player (RTP) is 95.42%. The bets placed during the qualifications round influence the size of the prize money. If you bet more during this round, you increase the prize money in the briefcases before reaching the top-up round. The red briefcases have higher multipliers; hence, topping up the prize money in these briefcases can help win more if the selected red briefcase wins.
Keep track of the eliminated briefcase numbers and their multipliers so you can decide whether to take the Banker’s offer or continue the game. If the Banker’s offer is more than your bet amount, and the remaining briefcases have low multipliers, you have the upper hand by taking the offer. The Switch option in the game’s final stage can change the game completely. Unlike the Banker’s offer that guarantees a certain amount, you could win a lot or very little. Similar games like this one are Live Deal or No Deal The Big Draw by Playtech, and Monopoly Live, another of Evolution’s popular branded titles.
