Despite Yinrun’s popularity Henry is more likely to win Big Brother 2023

In advance of the final of Big Brother this Friday, we have analysed the previous series of the show to try and narrow down a winner.

Looking at the casinos.win analysis, it seems likely that a man may once again be crowned champion with food writer Henry the current favourite at 3/1. However, Jenkin Edwards ticks boxes for both gender and location. Meanwhile, Yinrun Huang is proving a firm favourite with bookies and the public. It appears likely that these could be the last three standing when the results are announced on Friday.

While Yinrun has been a consistent favourite with bookies to win, casinos.win analysis shows that a man is far more likely to emerge on top.

At the time of writing, there are eight housemates still in contention and looking at previous patterns could help determine who will be crowned champion this year. Jenkin Edwards, Tom Bryant, Yinrun Huang, Jordan Sangha, Matty Simpson, Noky Simbani, Henry Southan and Olivia Young are all hoping to be crowned victorious on the rebooted show on Friday, November 17th.

In the previous 19 seasons, which aired on Channel 4 and later Channel 5, there have been 181 females and 162 males making up the 343 overall contestants. Although more women have entered the house, men have a higher success rate in placing and winning compared to women.

Casinos.win research shows that men have a 23% chance of placing compared to a 12% chance for females. Men also have a 7% chance of winning compared to a 4% chance for females.

Looking at where contestants hail from could also indicate who might prove successful. Although the majority of contestants throughout all the previous series have been from England, they have also proved the least successful. England has a 13% success rate at placing, while Ireland and Northern Ireland have higher success rates at 31% and 33%. Wales demonstrates the highest placement success rate with 47%. The first-ever Welsh winner was Rachel Rice in 2008.

While most of the contenders are English this bodes well for 25-year-old barman and cleaner Jenkin who hails from Bridgend and who is the only Welsh person still in the running, although he is currently not one of the favourites.

The other non-English contestants are Matt, who hails from the Isle of Man but currently lives in Dublin and bookies favourite Yinrun, who lives in Harrogate at present but is originally from Shanghai, China. However, Matt is currently at 40/1 in the bookies odds so he still faces a bit of a battle to be deemed winner.

In terms of profession, six students placed second while those who were unemployed also did well with one winner, one second place and one third place. One model, glamour model Sophie Reade has won the show, receiving the highest percentage of votes for a winner in Big Brother history. Meanwhile, four models have placed third in the contest.

This is good news for Noky who has a modelling background as Miss Universe GB. However, with current odds of 28/1 that is unlikely to be enough to help her be the ultimate winner of the show.
